Give a copy

As with some of my previous books, I’ve set up a program to make it easy for you to buy copies of With a Little Help for cash-strapped schools and libraries and similar institutions.

Below is a list of institutions seeking donations (don’t worry, we vet all requests to make sure they’re legit), pick out one or more, and buy them a copy. It’s a great way to say thanks for the free ebook and do a solid for a good institution. One of my readers calls it “paying your debts forward with instant gratification.”

If you work for such an institution and want to sign up for a free copy, see here.

  1. Neil Holmes says:

No takers so far? I’ve downloaded the ebook and have the cash for a hard copy for someone burning a hole in my my pocket. C’mon folks, free book! (Also it’s awesome)

  2. Kelly Pielop says:

I have requested at least 2 copies (one classroom, one school) and I haven’t heard back yet? If someone wants to donate a copy to our school out here in Chevak Alaska you can send it to:
    Kelly Pielop
    985 KSD Way
    Chevak, Alaska 99563

If you need to verify the address is the schools address go to chevakschool.org (Team Doctorow can confirm my email address is from the same domain).

    Kelly,

2 copies inbound from Lulu *if* someone t lulu can override their website which will *not* let me set your address as the ship-to as it’s not in the ‘Fedex Database’. I’ll try again tomorrow during biz hours when I can call them.

    Sean from Indiana

  6. Alex Knight says:

    Jennifer Cross – Redmond, WA

    Got you. On its way!

  7. Troy says:

Anne Coletta – one book ordered and on its way.

  8. Sami says:

    Hi,

I tried to order a copy for Tri Cities High School in Georgia, but the lulu.com site just took me back to the billing information page when I clicked to confirm the order. Using Mac OSX and FF.

Not sure what I can do to donate the book…

    Thanks,

    Sami

  9. Kelly Pielop says:

Since people are having issues sending the book to the school, the PO box (which is where mail is sent probably since its a rural address) is PO 328 (Chevak,AK 99563)

  10. Stuart Hair says:

A copy is on the way to
    Allison Long, NBCT
    Mooresville Middle School
    Mooresville NC

  11. Manuel Maestre Reyna says:

    Hi!
I’m trying to donate to the British school of Costa Rica. As expected, though, lulu wants me to give them a ZIP code, which Ana Rojas hasn’t provided.
Cory, or someone else reading this, can you get in contact with them to get a ZIP code and, if possible, a phone number?
I just don’t like writing my phone number into a parcel which I’m not going to get, and that is going to a different continent than where I’m living.
Also, many thanks for this and your previous books!

    Cory,
One copy of “with a little help” sent to Samoset Middle School via lulu.

  14. SpookyFM says:

I’d like to donate a copy to the Auckland school on the list. There is a special link for Australia and New Zealand (University of Melbourne) on the order page but the shipping fee there (18 australian dollars) is actually more than twice of Lulu’s fee. Is there a reason for this? Or is it okay if I send it via Lulu?

  15. Ben says:

A Lulu package was waiting for me when I got back to work this afternoon! Thank you so much to whoever donated my library’s copy!

  18. One copy outbound from Lulu to Jennifer Cross at the Overlake School in Washington state. Thanks to Cory, Craphound and Lulu for making this possible; what a great way to enjoy good books!
