So glad I made your lunch talk, has led me to some new portals. I am new to USC also and can relate to your comment about the abundance of people and ideas - ah, youth is wasted on the young!
Thanks again, hope to catch some more of your presentations.
[...] Link to the podcast, link to Isaac’s photos, and a link to Cory’s missive about the event. There was a guy from the Journalism school sitting next to me; somebody find him! I want to know what he’s writing and when/where we can see it! Many thanks to Andy Sternberg for inviting me to file a dispatch for the CPD. It should be out tomorrow. Classic photo...three suits, and yourself rocking a piratical V-neck complete with (what I assume are) earbuds a-dangle. Sock it to 'em, man! :)
THe "official" photos everyone is linking to are those of the USC Center on Public Displomacy; who'd of thunk they'd have a Flickr site? That said, I *do* have some of my own, incljuding one showing Cory preparing his notes a scant two minutes before speaking! (That said, he was -- as expected -- interesting and thought-provoking.) CHeck out
Very cool presentation today, I'm glad I attended. Any chance your class lectures will be freely available via podcast (given the gist of the presentation...)?
Cory,
It would be nice if you could come to Belgium (in one of our good universities) to talk about your experience (especially blogging on Boing Boing). You are a very good example for young people who want to create their own start-up.
Don't hesitate to give us a visit !
Regards.
Reno
Great event Cory, glad you're in LA now. I showed up late and it was nearly beyond SRO. I overheard one of the USC folks mention that they hadn't expected this many people. Something about your "fans" and some "mailing list" etc. etc.
:)
I am blogging my notes on my myspace blog:

Apologies for the crappy spelling and the fact that I take notes at about 1/10 the speed Cory talks.
I would also be interested in seeing the journalism student's notes if he posts them anywhere.
Wonderful lecture! I really loved it.

Typing up my notes on myspace. I am not the cool journalism student, though (I was with Isaac, sitting to his left). Apologies for the spelling on the blog and the fact that I take notes at about 1/10 the speed Cory talks. If the journalism student is found and his notes are disclosed, I also want to see them.
Congratulations on your arrival in L.A.! Hope to be able to catch up with you soon.
Congratulations on your arrival in L.A.! Hope to be able to catch up with you soon (once you finish all your reading, perhaps!).
I transcribed a couple of excerpts from this podcast on my blog. http://matt-arnold.livejournal.com/148281.html
