  1. I replaced GReader with Tiny Tiny RSS and it’s working really well for the family.

    It’s running on a old eeepc 901 (it’s kind of the house server, and doing a good job at that) using lighttpd as the web server (with php via fastcgi) and postgresql as the database. Runs really well (feels faster than greader. Imports everything from greader (with a plugin to use its takeout). Integrates with firefox (when clicking on a RSS link firefox will ask if you want to use the tt-rss site as the reader).

    The Android app is beautiful, easy to use and fast. (available at google play, fdroid, or as source at github).
