  1. Internet technology’s ability to help diverse groups work together is undisputable and really is one of the greatest innovations and changes to come out of the Internet.

    However Occupy and Anonymous are the worst examples you could possibly use. Anonymous did manage to intimidate some groups however bullies uniting against a common enemy is hardly a new thing. Their use of illegal tactics will probably relegate them to a net loss in the long-term.

    Occupy’s accomplished nothing. The Arab Spring uprising should’ve been the lead example of network movement that worked.

  2. Occupy has managed to have a significant effect on the national discussion, to the extent that the growing disparity of income and wealth is actually sometimes mentioned in the corporate media. The fact that you don’t realize that’s a major accomplishment doesn’t mean it isn’t one.
