Mr. Doctorow wrote a good article and I will definitely listen to the StarshipSofa episode; I'm a regular fan of the program anyway.
I was wondering what he would think about, or anyone else, of the site Scribd.
Maybe this was already touched upon, but I didn't see a search engine on Craphound so I tried checking but came up zilch.
Last time I viewed the site, which was today, I found three books uploaded which I'm pretty sure wasn't with the author's consent, but I could be wrong.
Does Mr. Doctorow feel these people, even though he's given his work freely and without charge to the public to sites like Gutenberg, should be allowed to put his work, also for free, on Scribd without him being notified or given approval.
Just a thought.
