Tabloid publisher American Media, Inc. wouldn't let reporters cover a memorial for the late Bob Stevens, photo-retoucher for the Sun and the first of the post-9/11 inhalation anthrax victims. {{Link}} About this time, I had my college flashback, thinking, "I sat through an entire two weeks of classes on conflict-of-interest disclosures for this?" Not only was I desperately trying to crash a memorial service being conducted by a swarm of human gadflies whose work is best appreciated when there's a stack-up in the Safeway express lane, but I wasn't even doing a good job of it.

Why are you sitting around clicking mouse and ogling web sites when you could be out naming life-forms? The All Species Home Page calls for the discovery of all life-forms on earth, a moving target, considering the evolution thing. This site's reach with detail about the search process and various details of evolutionary biology and species taxonomy. Me, I'm heading for Loch Ness, on my way to the Himalayas.
