The Top Right Corner

Introduction and Shameless Self-Promotion!

Forgot to post my intro... I'm Jon Lebkowsky, and my background is weirdly diverse: I've been a social worker, writer, technoculture maven, online community host and director, manager of software and web development projects, occasional activist, and corporate CEO. I was cofounder and CEO of the experimental, community based FringeWare, Inc., and I'm currently CEO of a technology consultancy, Polycot Consulting L.L.C.. I need a bumpersticker that says "I'd rather be blogging." If you're interested in my writings and ramblings, many of them are linked to my web page.

majestic:ascension by Aleta Solviev at disinformation has a rich set of fringe links, including a pointers to Don Webb and a view into the esoteric ambience of Austin, Texas. This one'll keep you busy for a few hours. [Link]

Kazango! An early Charles Lederer draft of The Thing from Another World, based on Don A. Stuart's (i.e. John W. Campbell's) story Who Goes There. The final script was filmed by Christian Nyby, though the word is that Howard Hawks actually did much of the directing (sorta like Stephen Spielberg's "oversight" of Tobe Hooper on Poltergeist). The final film was less about alien invasion, and more about an ideal of leadership under pressure. Watch the skies! [Link].
