Why can't I get this particular word to show up in the Wordle?

Wordle probably thinks that the word is a “stop word” (a frequently-used, but unimportant word, such as “the”, “and”, or “but”) in some language. See the “Language” menu for a setting to turn off the removal of such common words.

Before hacking the algorithm, the most common word that was shown was "like", but that wasn't counting the words that were considered "stop words".

That's awesome! Wordle actually tosses commonly used words like "a", "the", and "of". Otherwise, it'd be pretty boring, but I believe it's an option. I know a bunch of writers who use this to determine their "fat" words and which they overuse.

@Donnageddon: Wordle takes out what it deems to be common words in whatever language you use. You can turn that function off, which is neat, but for the most part that isn't very useful.

I would have thought "The" would be mor43e prominent. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the technique. Cool cover tho-
