Talking For the Win, copyright and iPads with ABC News

Last week I did a quick, fun interview with ABC News in New York, outside one of the bigger Apple Stores. We talked For the Win, the iPad, and copyright reform. The ABC folks were good enough to put the video online and make an embed available, too.

NYC tour stops

Hey, New York! I'm in town for the next-to-last stop of my book-tour for my new YA novel For the Win, and I'll be at:

FTW tour: Austin tomorrow, EFF benefit tonight, library donors needed!

Hey, Austinites! I'm headed your way tomorrow (Thurs) for the next leg of my book-tour. I'll be reading at BookPeople at 7PM, and then heading to EFF-Austin's WhuffieFest, a fundraiser/party at Amelia’s RetroVogue and Relics, 2213 South 1st Street in the 78704. I haven't been to Austin since SXSW 2003, and I can't wait to get back!

Tonight's my last night in San Francisco, and it's the capstone of the Bay Area leg: the Electronic Frontier Foundation fundraiser/party at the 111 Minna Gallery at 7:30. I'm really looking forward to this -- a great way to end a fantastic stop in one of the cities of my heart.

After Austin, it's off to Cary, NC (Saturday) and Chapel Hill, NC (Sunday), then New York and Brooklyn, and finally Toronto, my hometown. Here's the full tour schedule.

San Francisco FOR THE WIN stops

I've just hit San Francisco on my book tour for For the Win, and I'm doing three stops in the Bay Area:

Tonight (Monday), I'm at Borderlands Books in the Mission, reading and taking questions at 7PM

Tuesday, I'm at Books Inc in Palo Alto, as part of the Not Your Mother's BookClub event, starting at 7PM.

Wednesday, I wrap up with a fantastic EFF benefit at the 111 Minna Gallery at 730PM.

After this, I head on Austin, where the EFF-Austin folks are planning an event in conjunction with BookPeople on Thursday, then I'm in Raleigh and Chapel Hill, then New York and Brooklyn, and finally finishing in my home town, Toronto, on June 4.

Headed to Portland and San Francisco — EFF fundraiser FTW!

Hey, Portlanders! I'm on my way today to the Powell's location in Beaverton at 2PM for the latest stop in my For the Win tour.

After that, I'm off to the Bay Area, where I'll kick off with a signing at Borderlands Books in the Mission on Monday at 7PM. Then it's a stop in Palo Alto at Books Inc for the Not Your Mother's Book Club event on Tuesday at 7PM.

It culminates with a kick-ass EFF fundraiser at the 111 Minna Gallery on Wednesday at 7:30PM.

After that, the tour goes on, with stops in Austin on May 20, Raleigh on the 22nd, Chapel Hill on the 23d, New York on the 26th, Brooklyn on the 27th, New York again on the 28th, and Toronto on June 4. Hope to see you!
