NewsInterview with CBC radio’s Sounds Like CanadaI did a radio interview earlier this week for CBC radio's Sounds Like Canada, which was just aired -- talking about copyright, creativity, blogging and old vs new media. Joey DeVilla thoughtfully captured an MP3 of the show and posted it, along with tons of notes. 7 Responses to “Interview with CBC radio’s Sounds Like Canada”Leave a Reply

I couldn't agree more with your comment that most authors' biggest challenge is obscurity. Me, I'm an "emerging author" and to try and overcome that challenge I too am giving it away for free; though in this case it's a podcast. The book (due in November) is CARNAL KNOWLEDGE: A NAVEL GAZER'S DICTIONARY OF ANATOMY, ETYMOLOGY, AND TRIVIA (www.navelgazersdictionary.com) and the podcast is PODICTIONARY – THE PODCAST FOR WORD LOVERS (www.podictionary.com). It's about 2 minutes every day with a surprising history of a word you thought you already knew. Only time will tell if this giveaway strategy works.
Great interview. Heard it on the radio on my way to work today (wednesday). I really like this show - sounds like Canada - and I thought Cory had some interesting things to say today.
I caught that interview on Sounds Like Canada - fascinating. I like your ideas. So, I blogged you (of course) and checked out a book "Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town". Downloaded to my Treo 650, for reading in "spare time".
Ha! Semi-retirement means no spare time at all.

Thought you might like to know that we picked your very fine interview with Jian as our Editor's Choice Podcast for today... thought you were very insightful on Sounds Like Canada.
Hey Cory, I'm listening now ... great interview. I put Joey's file on my blog as well and used Red Swoosh to distribute the bandwidth.
Nice interview Cory, I heard it while returning a rental car. I knew about boingboing of course but didn't have much context for it and the group that started it. It was also great to hear that it is hosted in Canada.
My life moves at the speed of Dial-up. It was great to hear your interview on the CBC. Two of my favorite formats come together philosophy-wise. The CBC receives a giant spike of hipness, in my accounts. Lovely.
